EasyRTA

Real Time Audio Spectrum Analyzer with Signal Generator

Audio Device Selection

The "Audio Device Selection" menu is used for selection of existing Windows audio devices. EasyRTA checks for all existing audio devices in Windows (Input and Output) and populates the menu with a list of devices found. A user can separately choose which Input and which Output device will use, simply by clicking on a desired device in the drop down list.

Note that not all audio devices listed in the EasyRTA drop down list can work in full duplex mode (mode where output and input device can work at the same time). On some platforms it is happening because of the type of audio devices on the system and their corresponding driver, or, in some cases, Windows cannot recognize devices properly. So, if a user cannot make chosen devices to work properly through the EasyRTA menu, it can be done by manually selecting the problematic audio device in Windows Control Panel / Sound as a default device, and then choosing default devices in the EasyRTA Audio Device Selection Menu. For more info, please see Appendix A.
